You just can't look at this green eyed girl without an emotional reaction. Vik Orenstein shares how she captured that perfect impish expression.
Where Everybody Knows Your Name
Vik Orenstein: I just love this gal. She was just adorable and she had a million expressions. This particular one, she's looking at me like she has an inside joke or like I'm trying to pull her leg or something. It's just such a subtle little expression. It's a smile but it's more than a smile.
She's really communicating something there and she's really connecting with the lens -- as if she's connecting directly with the viewer and there isn't anything in between at all. That's one of my current favorites that I've shot in the last six months. (click the image for a larger version)
Audri Lanford: That is perhaps one of my favorites as well. You feel like you know her.
Vik Orenstein: Exactly. That's how I felt about her the minute she walked in the door. I thought, "Oh, she reminds me of my daughter, and Pippi Longstocking, and Madeline," you know, all the little storybook girl heroes.
