Photographer Bio
Stephen Johnson is a critically-acclaimed landscape photographer with more than 35 years of professional experience under his belt. He was one of the original pioneers in digital photography and has been the recipient of many prestigious awards including the Congressional Special Recognition award given by the U.S. House of Representatives for his work as the Curator and Editor/Designer for the book At Mono Lake.
In 2003 Stephen was inducted into the Photoshop Hall of Fame and in 2006 he received the recognition of being named one of Canon's Explorers of Lights. In addition to these accomplishments, Stephen has also published other books including Stephen Johnson on Digital Photography and With a New Eye: The Digital National Parks Project.
Stephen's client list is also impressive, including highly-recognizable names such as the Ansel Adams Publishing Trust, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Adobe Systems, Hewlett Packard, and Apple Computer. His photographs can also be seen in permanent collections of the Getty, The Oakland Museum, and The National Parks Service.
Stephen is also passionate about sharing his photography knowledge and has taught classes at Kodak's Center for Creative Imaging and has lectured at numerous digital photography forums such as Fotofusion, MacWorld, and Agfa Technology Expo.
