Cheryl Machat Dorskind is a professional and critically acclaimed photographer for over twenty years, who communicates her passion for photography through her books, teaching, fine art, and commissions. She is a handpainter and professional fine art photographer known for her highly personal approach to photography.
Cheryl has been teaching and mentoring students at colleges for the past fifteen years and is currently an adjunct professor at Suffolk Community College and a photo instructor for the Perfect Picture School of Photography.
Cheryl is the author of two books, The Art of Handpainting Photographs, and The Art of Photographing Children. She writes a popular newspaper column called "Picture This" for The Southampton Press. Her pictures are published in many newspapers and magazines, including Country Living, Hampton Style and The New York Times.
