Some of the world's best shots aren't planned, as you can see in this picture of a boy playing peek a boo. It's a beautiful, vibrant and memorable photograph, but it wasn't set up beforehand. Cheryl explains how she seized the moment to capture this memory on film.

Freezing Time

Cheryl Dorskind: This photograph of a boy playing peek a boo was taken at my house, in my backyard. This is a friend's son. He came out of the pool, put this towel around him, and it was just one of those perfect pictures in terms of color so I just took his picture.

I said, "Oh, could you just stay like that?" That's what that picture is all about. A lot of times after you've learned photography enough, you can see when things are happening and take advantage of them, put it all together and seize the moment. Just capture that moment.
