P#10: An Amazing Father Holding Newborn Photograph
Contrasting the Father's Strength With the Baby's Fragility in This "Father Holding Newborn" Image
Sometimes dads just don't get enough credit, but this shot of the "father holding newborn" shows that the bond between a father and child is just as important as that of the child's bond with the mother.
Carrie explains how she captured this heartwarming image.
A Strong Father
Carrie Sandoval: This is a wonderful picture of daddy holding his baby.
These are some of my favorite shots. When you get a shot of daddy holding the baby, you can show Daddy's strength next to the fragile little baby.
In this one, the baby was actually lying down on the beanbag like that. I picked the baby up and had Dad hold his hands out like that so I could place the baby in his hands. Again, trying to get their heads close and making the baby fit in there like a puzzle piece. That's what I was trying to do with this image.

Audri Lanford: And you've got the feet.
Carrie Sandoval: Yep, both feet showing on that one!
Audri Lanford: Little toes. That one really does look like a puzzle piece. I don't know if it's a boy or a girl, but it's squished in there. It's really cute!
In Summary
This was truly a beautiful shot, capturing the essence of a father's strength protecting a child. Color isn't the only contrast you can take advantage of when getting shots of baby. The father's strength next to the infant's fragility in this father holding newborn shot is one of the most stunning contrasts we've seen.
