Photographing mother and baby together creates very precious memories. Carrie explains how previous inspiration creates an even more memorable photograph.
Mother and Baby Together
Carrie Sandoval: This mother and baby picture is actually of a friend of mine and her infant. I had seen similar shots done like this before and I wanted to put my own twist on it.
In the shot I saw before, the baby's head was just on the ground next to the mother. I thought, "I'd really like to pull them closer together and make them feel more like one unit." I brought the baby's head up on mom's arm. It just totally came together. I love it.

In Closing
The right pose can have a dramatic impact on the outcome of a picture, as Carrie demonstrated with this shot. By posing mother and baby the right way, she was able to depict the true essence of the mother/child relationship through her work.
