7 Biggest Photography Questions for Roy Toft
1. What is the single biggest mistake people make when they photograph wildlife?
2. I'd like to photograph wildlife without going to an exotic place. I'm interested in photographing a large variety of animals from moose to wolves to bears, but not birds. Where in the US would you recommend I visit -- and at what times of year? Any tips you can offer?
3. What is necessary to take with you on a wildlife photography trip? What gear do you need? What lenses and other paraphernalia do I really need for (amateur) wildlife photography? Is it very expensive -- or can I get started on a budget?
4. I'm going on a photo safari to Africa this summer. I've got a good camera and some very good glass. What suggestions do you have to get the best photographs possible?
5. Do you usually go to a certain area with the intention of photographing a specific animal or do you pick a place and photograph anything and everything that seems interesting? How many pictures would you say you usually take of a certain animal?
