Where can I find resources to improve my night photography?

Jim Zuckerman has shared some great techniques for night photography. I asked him what's the best way for our audience to learn more about the resources he recommends.

Check out these web sites to learn more about night photography

Jim Zuckerman: They can go to my Web site, www.JimZuckerman.com. There's a link on the homepage there that takes them to a workshop page. The direct site there is www.JimZuckermanWorkshops.com. I lead a number of photo tours, I give workshops.

One of the most exciting workshops that I've given in a long time is happening this August. I've got two spaces left where we'll be photographing poison dart frogs and reptiles. I did a shoot like this just a few months ago, and it was so exciting and I got such outrageous pictures that I thought, "People are going to love to do this."

So I've arranged with the guy who has all these animals to set them up. We'll have natural looking situations in the hotel banquet room actually.

It'll be pretty funny. The poison dart frogs are surprisingly small. You just don't expect them to be so small. That's happening in August. That can be found on the Web site.

I'm doing a wonderful photography tour to Venice, Italy next February, 2009 for Carnival. Carnival is one of the all-time great things to shoot. I think I was shooting so fast that my camera was smoking.

In four days, I shot around 60 gigs of pictures.

Then also next year, I'm doing a couple of workshops, one to Namibia in southwest Africa, and also do Turkey.

One more thing, there's a photography tour -- we had a couple of cancellations on the Africa trip to Kenya this coming September.

The trip that I led last year, we got such unbelievable pictures that everybody was just floored. Every day we went out was better than the previous day. We must have seen ten different matings of lions, several leopards in trees right above our heads -- it was tremendous.

We have a couple of spaces left. I know it is late notice, but in the September 2008 trip. If anybody's interested, they can email me through my Web site, www.JimZuckerman.com.

Audri Lanford: I'll also mention that Jim also teaches some online courses, including at www.BetterPhoto.com. We'll have links to all of this in the Show Notes so that you can see. On his Web site, there are some amazing images, there's info on all the workshops, online courses -- there's so much stuff.

Conclusion

Jim Zuckerman has generously shared terrific tips and techniques for twilight and night photography. Combine his technical tips with a great subject, and enjoy yourself!
