P#4 Creating A Spectacular Image of A Woman In Water
Go under to capture a woman in water
Scott Stulberg is a master of stock photography, and he brought examples of his work to share with our audience. The first one is an unusual shot of a woman in water. I asked Scott to explain how he managed this stunning photograph.
Why this shot of a woman in water is perfect for stock photography
Scott Stulberg: Let's see here, I have an image of a woman in the water with just her eyes looking at me. I took that in Turkey. I got in the water with my long lens.
I had her to go down in the water, coma up, and look at me. It's a very, very powerful image. (click the image for a larger version)
One of the reasons it might be nice for stock is because you don't see images like this too often. Her eyes look kind of like Cleopatra.
To go in the water and shoot people -- you don't see that happen a lot. You see people on rafts and swimming and things, but actually in the water like this with a beautiful face -- this you could do anywhere as long as the water is beautiful and you have a great model.
To summarize
Scott captured this photo of a woman in water by using his imagination to see things in an unusual way.
