Reason #5: To Hear the Top Photographers Discuss Their Own Photographs
Come behind the scenes and discover the thinking and the technical details behind the photos taken by top photographers
It's funny. I threw in the idea of having my guest photographers show off some of their own photographs at the last minute.
In fact, I even hesitated to include this as part of the podcast because I knew a lot of people would listen to the podcast while driving or at the gym, so having a visual component (i.e. looking at photographs) seemed like a problem.
Wow, would that have been a mistake!
As it turns out, hearing world-class photographers talk about their own images (especially in the context of the interview) is clearly one of the highlights of each podcast.
It's amazing to hear the stories behind how specific images were taken, the challenges the photographer faced and why they made the decisions they made for each shot. Plus, my guests sometimes share some of the important technical hurdles they confronted -- and how they overcame them.
It's almost like being inside the mind of the best of the best -- and getting a peak "behind the curtain."
Now, although I can't promise every guest will discuss their own photographs, it seems to be a trend. In fact, the first four interviews include lots of my guests' photographs and insights. You definitely won't want to miss these.
What happens if you're listening while in the car or jogging?
For those listeners who aren't at their computer, you can simply come back to that section of the interview when you're in front of your screen to look at the images and hear the discussion. Problem solved.
